In cases where amnesia results from psychological factors, psychotherapy, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), can help individuals recover lost memories and develop coping strategies. While complete recovery from amnesia is not always possible, especially in cases of significant brain injury or neurodegenerative disease, early diagnosis and intervention can maximize functional recovery and improve the quality of life for affected individuals.
